Set up a site for people to gain and track skills as if they are characters in an RPG.
Should be fun.
Market off of prebuilt skill trees that I provide.
Allow for use made skill trees to be submitted.
Allow for suggestions of wanted trees.
Move the skill level up as the process becomes more manual.
Example:
Bread making
Level 1 Using a bread machine and purchased mix to make your own bread
Level 2 Making your own dough starting yeast
Level 3 Making your own dough from scratch
Level 4 Make bread from scratch with no machine
Level +1 point addition for each core bread type you can make
And so on and so on. You can see that there are infinite levels possible just inside this one skill.
Add new skills such as Tortilla making and sauces and such. But do not restrict it to cooking. It should be for all the base skills that humans should have.
Maybe base skills have a higher point rating to encourage core level competency.
Other skill ideas:
Bread
Tortillas
Sauces
Soups
All the core cooking concepts needed to survive cheaply
Finance management concepts
Liberty concepts
Auto Mechanical skills
Cleaning skills
Communication skills
Self Defense Skills
On and on. The previous list was off the top of my head. The focus at first though should be core foundational skills every human should have.
Also things like books read and base learning skills such as reading, writing, and arithmetic.
There should be a divider between core functionality and skills that are added on. Such as career things and hobbies.
Also should be a section on understanding a limiting all government power over oneself.
I need to find a proper web server structure that is well suited to community and database interfacing.
Can I use existing structure somehow such as Facebook or that type of thing?
Can I find a way to have someone build it for me but make sure I retain the control of the thing?
Is it already built?
If it is already built, why have I not heard of it? Better marketing? - There are others doing things in this vein, but nothing like I am picturing. I am coming at it from a whole different marketing stand point.
